EAST HARTFORD - Katherine (Solberg) (Quadrato) McCrea 67, passed away on April 4, 2021 in Manchester after long and courageous battle with the COVID-19 Virus. She was the wife of Joseph McCrea.
Born in Waterbury CT on August 7, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Walter P. and Ruth (Towsend) Solberg. For the last 8 years she has been an administrative assistant at the University of St. Joseph in West Hartford. She will be remembered as a Mom to everyone and enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She also loved the beach and camping.
Left to honor Katherine's legacy and honor her memory, in addition to her husband of 43 years, are her children; Betty Quadrato, Glen Quadrato and his wife, Jenn Miele, Jayne Perzan and her husband, Scott, her sisters Cheryl Childers, Beth Treffery, her brother, Walter Solberg, and two grandchildren; Rachel and Rocco Quadrato. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. She is predeceased by her first husband, Glen Quadrato and her daughter Heather Quadrato Ruel.
Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. McCrea will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery 183 North Street in Watertown. We are very concerned about everyone's health and safety so all federal and state guidelines relative to COVID #19 will be observed. O'Neill Funeral Home has been honored to care for the McCrea family during this difficult time.
