THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF KATHLEEN GONZALEZ
Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. On December 1st, 2021 Kathleen Gonzalez rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.
Katie was a wife, daughter, sister, mother and most of all grandma/nana. She was the ground of our family. She was a homemaker, decorator, photographer, chef, therapist, basically a jack of all trades playing a huge roll in all of our lives. Her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews loved doing crafts with her and making crazy deserts like sour grapes and cupcake ice cream cones. She never hesitated helping with projects, never batted an eye taking 6 or more kids over her house to tear it up. Pictures were her ABSOLUTE favorite. Taking pictures during every moment, not to mention stealing pictures off social media then asking when she can post them. She loved her children so much so she offered to be a Guinea pig trying random dropped of dishes of food. Time or distance didn't stop her from loving and staying connected with her family and friends, you can see her years later and it was the same ol' Kate. You will be missed incredibly, immeasurably. The thought of her will never leave our mind and her memory will always live within our hearts.
Katie is survived by her husband Angel Gonzalez and her children Staci Elko (fiancé Savion Billups), Maiya Gonzalez (fiancé Junito Cruz), Angel Gonzalez (girlfriend Allison Tofil) Who all of which gave her 6 grandchildren that will keep her memory alive Tianna Mason, Savion Billups jr, Maddox Billups, Lennox Billups, Levi Cruz, and Courtney Michaud-Williams. As a child her parents taught her the value of love and family. She finally reunites with her parents Paul and Margaret Elko after years of missing them. She leaves behind the Elko legacy to her sister and brother Lauralee Elko (brother in-law Johnathan Humphrey) and Brandon Elko (sister in-law Jill Elko) all of which made her an auntie to Allen, Elijah, Kylie, Noah, Kieresten and Brianna.
Visitation for my Katie will be held on Friday December 17th at 4:00pm - 6:00pm at O'Neil funeral home at 742 main st Oakville 06779
Repast will be announced.
Please come. friends, family, anyone that shared a memory with my mom. We are also asking that everyone bring a picture or pictures. Of her, you with her of her as a child any. And there will be note cards for everyone to share a memory or something they share with her. Our family is so small but I want to make sure she is celebrated and remembered like she deserves.
