WATERBURY- Kathleen A. Lyons age 83 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24th 2018 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center in Watertown with her family by her side. She was the wife of Raymond Lyons
Mrs. Lyons was born April 14th 1935 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Monagan) Baxter. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and enjoyed knitting, working in her garden, taking trips to the casino and crafting with ceramics. Kathleen was a loving and dedicated homemaker and who committed herself to raising her family and later in life spent many years working at Anne's Deli. Kathleen was the welcoming face with her inviting smile ready to serve friends and customers who quickly became friends at the neighborhood deli. She was a loyal parishioner of Saint Francis Xavier Church and was always happiest while spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and all who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her husband of 60 years, Ray, Kathleen is survived by her sons, Thomas Lyons of Torrington, Robert Lyons and his wife, Melissa of Watertown, and Beth Beadle and her husband, Robert of Enfield. In addition, she also leaves her sister, Agnes Martin and her husband, Al of Waterbury and her five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Lyons will be held on Tuesday November 27th 2018 at 10:00 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705. to Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury, CT when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Kathleen's family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 at the funeral home.
