Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

 WATERTOWN - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Kathryn (McDonald) Koth, age 92, share the news of her peaceful passing at Shady Knoll Care Center on Tuesday, February 04, 2025. She was the widow of Harold Koth. 

Kathryn was born on December 10, 1932, in Beaumont, TX, the daughter of the late Earnest and Mary (Smallwood) McDonald. She was a graduate of local schools and then went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Navy Reserves. Kathryn worked as an assistant in the pharmacy industry for over 20 years in South Carolina. She spent time playing the piano, painting, cooking delicious foods, and canning. Kathryn cherished her family above all else, excelling in her roles as a devoted mother and grandmother. She was always there to care for her loved ones. Those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her will remember her fondly.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children, Harold Koth Jr., William Koth, Mary Louise Zozulin, and Alice Joy Medina. Her adoring grandchildren; Jennifer Fraiser, Jessica VanOrden, Kaipalani Hunt, Kahilu Murdaugh, Marcus Koth, Lydia Koth, Gregorio Medina, Kristen Zozulin, and Alexander Zozulin II and great grandchildren; Zoey, Hunter, McKenzie, Lane, Peyton, Olivia, Ian, Ely, Grace, Summer, Fenn, Kashden, Brooke, and Morgan. Kathryn also leaves behind nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings; James Patton, Joe Patton, Earnest MacDonald, and Martha Rodgers Gross.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Koth will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2:45 p.m. when a prayer service in celebration of her life will be conducted at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779. Relatives and friends may visit Kathryn’s family at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the service commences. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
