THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF KATHRYN SHEA.
PROSPECT - Kathryn Teresa Shea, age 62, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2020 at her home in Prospect, CT with her family by her side, after her long courageous battle with breast cancer.
Kathi was born January 11th 1958 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mary Christiano and was raised in Beacon Falls. After graduating from Seymour High School in 1976, she became a hair stylist before pursuing her lifelong dream of helping others. Kathi started by working as an EMT for Campion Ambulance, became a CNA, and then continued her education into an LPN working at Cheshire House Rehabilitation Center for 21 years. She absolutely loved sports cars and riding her motorcycle. She also enjoyed making wreaths, watching NASCAR and had a real knack for interior design. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and memory are her two children; Richard Shea Jr. and his wife, Sasha of Prospect and Mary Shea, currently of Bristol, her five grandchildren Brooke, Rocky, Charlie, Madelyn and Anthony, and her siblings, Clifford and his wife Laurie, Christiano of Seymour, Deborah Christiano of Torrington, Lori and her husband, Frank Inzitari and Steven and his wife, Suzanne Christiano of Beacon Falls along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Michaels Church , 25 Maple St Beacon Falls CT at 10:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church and please observe all state and federal guidelines concerning the pandemic. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Kathi's family for a walk-through visitation at Casey's Eastside Memorial, 1987 East Main Street, @Southmayd Rd Waterbury on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 4:00 till 6:00 pm To honor Kathi's memory donations to Seymour Pink Inc.
