WATERBURY - Kevin X. Santiago age 24, of Waterbury passed away tragically while attempting to rescue a friend in distress during a water accident at the East Mountain Reservoir in Waterbury on Tuesday evening July 28th 2020.
Kevin was born July 16th 1996 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Maria (Duarte) Abraham and Edgardo X. Santiago. Kevin attended Kennedy High School and had a passion for skateboarding and spending time at the lake. Kevin will be remembered for his loving selfless personality and his deep concern for others.
Left to cherish his memories and honor his love and legacy are his parents, his brother Kyle D. Hernandez who was always with Kevin and who considered Kevin as a role model. He also leaves his sisters Kassandra Santiago, Kimberly Santiago and Jessica Santiago.
Funeral services for Mr. Santiago will be for his immediate family only. For those wishing to attend the committal/cemetery services please arrive at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury on Monday August 3rd 2020 no later than 10:15 a.m. and remain in your vehicles until the procession leaves for New Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation for relatives and friends with Kevin's family will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m at the funeral home. Please be advised that state guidelines for COVID 19 will be strictly enforced at all times.
