WATERBURY - Kevin S. Stamp, age 63 of Waterbury took his final journey to eternal peace on June 3, 2016 in the arms of his loving wife, Kathy (Pettinicchi) Stamp.
Kevin was born in New Haven, CT on June 15, 1952 son of the late Leroy and Helen (Dowling) Stamp. He was a veteran in of the United States Air Force having proudly served his country as a medic during the Vietnam War. He was employed for many years as a Mail Handler for the U.S. Postal Service retiring in 2009. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed the beach especially with his family at North Wildwood, NJ. He loved spending time with his family and delighted in having them all together for picnics.
Besides his devoted wife, Kevin is survived by his three daughters, Erica Stamp of East Haven, Shelley Stamp of Waterbury and Laura (Stamp)Tajildeen and her husband Sam Tajildeen of Watertown whom he considered a son; his two brothers, Michael of Guilford and Brian of Branford and his sister, Helen Miko of Spring City TN. He will be sadly missed by his three grandchildren, Jacob Guthrie, Mia Tajildeen and Ava Tajildeen. He leaves behind his adored nephew and nieces, Eric Acosta, Diana Sanchez, Lindsey Stamp, Katie Miko, and his great niece Lia Santana. He was predeceased by his nephew, Brandon Miko. He will be missed by his fury friends, Maxx and Opie.
Funeral Services for Mr. Stamp will held on Tuesday June 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Mill Plain Union Church, 242 Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, to honor Kevin's memory, donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
