Devoted Mom, Sister, and Grandmother
WOLCOTT – Kimberly Mailhot, age 64, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 1, 2023. She was the widow of Michael Mailhot.
Kim was born on June 29, 1959, in Waterbury, the daughter of Suzanne (Bunnell) Matthews of Middlebury and the late Robert Daunis. She was a graduate of Wilby High School and was a Head Teller for TD Bank for many years. Kim loved being socially active, traveling and having dinner out with her many friends. She loved music of all types and was a true fan of Madonna. Kim was a loyal friend to so many but more than anything else she was a devoted mother, sister, and grandmother who would do anything to spend quality time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her mother, is her son, Wesley Daunis and his wife, Kerri of Alexandria, VA, her grandchildren; Hailee Daunis, Jacoby and Adrian Guerra. She also leaves her siblings; Robert Daunis of Plantsville, Marybeth Daunis of Waterbury, Derek Daunis of Woodbury, Sharon Moffat of Waterbury, Thomas Matthews of Bethlehem, and Penny Thomas of Bethlehem, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Kim was predeceased by her daughter, Brandi Guerra.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Mailhot will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
