WATERBURY – Lacey Gregory Jr., of Watertown, CT, passed peacefully at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Bucks Hill, surrounded by his loving family on March 5, 2023. He was the loving husband of Norma Gregory for 33 years.
Lacey was born in Waterbury, CT on April 4, 1937, to the late Lacey and Doris (Thorne) Gregory Sr. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1955, and then went on to receive his associate degree in drafting. Following his degree, he began his career with Timex and later retired at the age of 78 years from AFCON products. Lacey enjoyed country dancing, bowling, and fishing. What he truly loved the most was spending time with his loving family; he will be missed by his family and friends.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his loving wife, Norma, are his six children; Christopher Gregory, Brenda Wilson, William Cocchiola, Dana Bruton, Fred Cocchiola, Dean Cocchiola, he leaves his 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, his brother David Gregory, along with nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Lacey was predeceased by his son Tim Cocchiola, his two sisters Joan Guillet and Linda Zappone.
Funeral services for Mr. Gregory will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Union Congregational Church, 167 Buckingham Street, Oakville, CT. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
