Devoted Father
WATERBURY- Larry Lee, age 63 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on September 5th 2020.
Larry was born on May 17, 1957 in Manhattan, New York, the son of the late Hammie and Lelia Lee. Larry grew up in New York City, where he excelled academically. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School. He went on to obtain an Associate's Degree in Science from Bronx Community College and went on to further his dream by receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Specialization in Accounting and Marketing from Baruch College. He was filled with drive, determination and education. He had a successful career in the Corporate world. He was a successful Reinsurance Accountant for the Swiss Re Group up until his retirement. He was also an Entrepreneur with his own company called LDL Limousine. Larry's faith and spirituality were a huge part of his life. He was an active member of Convent Avenue Baptist Church for almost 20 years. He was a soloist in the male choir and he took great pride in his church family, and had a strong bond with his church brothers. He was warm, compassionate, and welcoming to everyone he came in contact with. He had a strong determination for life and always gave his all in everything he accomplished. He was extremely nurturing and a father figure to so many. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. As a devoted father, he instilled so many values into his children such as love, patience, and guidance.
He is survived by his children: Lawrence Lee (Son), Daughters: Ashley Lee and Crystal Blair, Grandson: Legend Lee, Sister: Laveria Lee, Brothers: Hammie Lee (Debbie), Reginald Lee and Christopher Lee (Serene), Uncle: James Knox (Julia), Aunts: Hattie Butler and Lizzie Neely (Leroy); as well as many family and friends. He is predeceased by his father Hammie Lee, his mother Lelia Lee and sister Yvonne Lee.
Funeral services for Larry Lee will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends my visit with Larry's family on Friday September 18th 2020 at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT 06705 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.. All COVID -19 attendance restrictions will be strictly enforced.
