WATERBURY, CT - Laura J. Boucher age 62 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 16th 2015 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was loving wife of William "Bill" Boucher.
Laura was born May 13th 1953 in Stamford, CT, the daughter of Robert Leonetti and the late Audrey (Weston) Leonetti. She was educated in Stamford and received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Southern Connecticut State University. Laura spent many years working for various medical offices in the area as a Medical Coder. She enjoyed gardening, and traveling, especially to the New England area beaches and was an avid teddy bear collector. Laura also loved spending time decorating her home. She would always have her home tastefully decorated to the appropriate season or holiday.
Besides her husband William of 37 years, Laura is survived by her brother, Robert Leonetti, her sister in laws Kathleen Boucher, and Marybeth Owens, as well as her close friends, Lori LeMay, and Elizabeth Snyder Her niece Melissa Rodriguez and her nephew David Owens in addition to several other cousins and extended family and friends.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Boucher will be held on Friday August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at EASTSIDE MEMORIAL "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," 1987 East Main St A@ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may visit with Laura's family on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 ~ 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laura's memory can be made to The Harold Leever Cancer Center, Vitas Hospice and Innovative Care, or your local Humane Society.
