AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, WATERBURY CT. Laura A.(Galbogis) Gavronski, age 87, formerly of Hamilton Ave Waterbury, died Friday, April 9, 2010 at Walnut Hill Convalescent Center in New Britain after a extended illness. She was the widow of Anthony Gavronski.
Laura was born April 4th 1923 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Leo and Emma (Grumauskas) Galbogis. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and worked as a secretary at Bendex - Timex Corp for many years before retiring in 1991. She enjoyed shopping, traveling and playing bingo. She was a long time parishioner of St Francis Xavier Church in Waterbury and she will be greatly missed by many.
Among her survivors are her son, Jay Gavronski and his wife Debbie, her daughter Laurie Novi and her husband Tom, all of Southington, as well as her grandchildren, Alicia Novi and her husband Scott Silverstone, Brad Novi and Jared and Ryan Gavronski.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Gavronski will be held on Monday April 12, 2010 at 10:30AM from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St. Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-6pm. Memorial donations in Mrs. Gavronski's memory may be made to St Vincent DePaul Society, 35 Willow St. Waterbury CT 06702.
