Devoted, husband, father and grandfather
WATERBURY - Mr. Lawrence M. Hauser, age 62 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at St. Marys Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the husband of Maria (Fernandes) Hauser.
Mr. Hauser was born on September 11, 1958 in New London CT, the son of Janice (Shonts) Hauser of Groton and the late Allan Hauser. He was educated in New London and graduated from Thames Valley College with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was employed for many years at Eaton Corp of Bethel. Lawrence was considered a handyman and could fix almost anything. He enjoyed video games and computers and he was a longtime parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception where he and his wife were devout Catholics and members of the Adoration Guild. Lawrence was a kind and gentle soul, had a loving heart and was always willing to share with others. He lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures of life. A deeply spiritual person he loved his faith, his friends but most especially his family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Lawrence is survived by his wife of 37 years, Maria who cared for Lawrence with great love and devotion, his mother, Janice and his children; Lawrence M. Hauser Jr and his wife, Caroline of Clinton, Tina Hauser and her husband, Michael Cote of Watertown and Elena Natusch and her husband, Rawn of Waterbury. Lawrence and Maria were blessed with three grandchildren; Michael Malione Jr, Sarah Malione and Alexis Cote. He also leaves his siblings; David Hauser of Groton, Cindy Sutton of Mystic, Jeanne Muise of Chesapeake VA and Patricia Fecteau of Standish ME as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hauser will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St Waterbury CT at 1:30 p.m. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relative and friends may visit with the Hauser family on Thursday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd., Waterbury, CT.
