THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF LESLIE R. BELAND.
WATERBURY - Leslie R. "Les" Beland age 91 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 13, 2019 after a brief illness. He was the widower of Lucie (Falcone) Beland.
Les was born December 11, 1927 in Fort Kent, Maine, the son of the late Henry and Rose (Jandreau) Beland. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II and spent many years working as a Quality Control Supervisor for the Department of Defense in the Boston, until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing and played in several area leagues including the East Mountain league. He was a longtime member of the East End Community Club and an active member of the Triad Organization and he was a parishioner of Mary Mother of the Church Parish. Les will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Among his survivors are his sister, Lorraine Gladding and his brother, William Beland, several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucie, his step daughter, Ilene Thomas and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services for Mr. Beland will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
