WATERBURY - Leslie Paula Jimenez-Gutierrez, age 23, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was a loving daughter and sister.
Leslie was born on December 13, 1997 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of Merlin Gutierrez. Leslie graduated from Crosby High School in 2015. She worked as a support staff member at All Pointe Care where she assisted people of all ages. She loved listening to music any chance she could, she adored swimming in the ocean and spending time with her many friends and large family. Leslie was a talented fashionista who also loved makeup and interior design. Most importantly, Leslie was passionate about supporting and caring for her loved ones. Her bubbly personality was vibrant and lit up every room she entered. She had an extremely kind and compassionate spirit and was known for her contagious laugh and infectious smile.
Left to honor Leslie's legacy are her mother, Merlin Gutierrez, her younger sister, Rihanna, her baby brother, Adrian, her grandparents, Herminia and Octaciano Gutierrez as well as seven aunts, four uncles, and many cousins and friends.
A funeral service for Leslie will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at All Saints Todos Los Santos Parish at 515 South Main Street in Waterbury, CT when a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. All those planning to attend are asked to go directly to the church and wait outside until the procession arrives. All governmental restrictions, including a maximum number of 100 guests will be strictly enforced. A live stream of the service will be available on the church's YouTube page at: https://www.youtube.com/c/AllSaintsTodosLosSantos/ Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
