AT THE O"NEILL FUNERAL HOME
Prospect- Lillian Stroke age 82 formerly of Oakville, Died peacefully Sunday April 26, 2009 at Marathon Health Center of Prospect after an extended illness. She was the widow of Richard Stroke.
Mrs. Stroke was born April 5th 1926 in Wilkes Barre Pa; the daughter of the late Michael and Veronica (Bovitt) Simon. She was a graduate of Leavenworth high school in Waterbury where she had lived until her marriage to Richard in 1969, when they moved to California. While living in Ca she worked at Wells Fargo Bank in San Diego as a clerical worker until her retirement in 1988. Following the death of her husband in 2003, she returned to CT where she has lived for the past several years.
Among her survivors are her nephew Joe Albon and his family, a niece, Peg A. Cozza and her family, all of whom enjoyed caring for her. She is also survived by her nephews Bill, & Mike, and nieces Cheryl, Louise. She is predeceased by her three sisters Helen Codianne, Alyce Simon, and Margaret Albon.
Lillian's family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful and loving "family" at the Marathon Health Care Center of Prospect and the Vitas Hospice program.
