THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF LISA MITCHELL
NAUGATUCK- Lisa Diane Mitchell, age 52, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4th, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard P. Plasse.
Lisa was born May 3rd, 1966 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of John W. and Alberta (Johnson) Mitchell of Springfield, MA. Lisa was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, Quinnipiac Law School and St Vincent's College of Nursing and worked as a correctional counselor, a lawyer in her own law firm and most recently accomplished her mission of becoming a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed traveling, working as a nurse and most importantly spending time with her family and grandchildren. A dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lisa will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her parents and her husband, Richard of 22 years, Lisa is survived by her son, Bryan P. Mitchell and his wife, Ania of Middletown, her daughter, Theresa N. Plasse of Naugatuck, her sisters, Deborah Burt and her husband, Donald, Cassandra Mitchell, and Trudy Mitchell all of Springfield as well as her adoring grandchildren; Zariah, Janiah, Javaughn, and Caleb.
A Service of Remembrance for Lisa will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 4:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Tribute Center. 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. Relatives and friends may visit with Lisa's family at the funeral home on Saturday afternoon from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Lisa's memory can be made to the American Brain Tumor Association at 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Ste 550 Chicago, IL 60631or at info@abta.org .
