Mr. Loden Stallings

WATERBURY - Elder Loden Stallings 87 of Waterbury, CT passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2024 at St. Mary Hospital. 

Loden Stallings was born on February 23, 1937 in North Carolina , he was the son of the late Loden Stallings and Almira Hurdle. Loden was educated in the North Carolina School System. He was employed by Intermagnetic General Corporation (IGC) for over 30 years.  

He attended The Way of Cross Church for many Years. Then he became an Elder and began Pastoring his own church - The Tabernacle of Christ Church for several years. Elder Loden Stallings loved to minister the word of God to anyone that would listen to him. He loved his family and always was a great provider for his family. He loved to travel , fishing , long walks and riding bikes on trails.  

Elder Stallings leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life: his children; Herman Stallings of Waterbury, Gennie Thompson of Waterbury, Randy Stallings of Waterbury, Geraldine West of Virginia, Juanita Stallings of Waterbury, Billy Stallings of Waterbury, Carylon Redding Stallings of Waterbury, Michelle Stallings of Waterbury and Tylisha Stallings of Waterbury. He also leaves numerous of grandchildren, great grand children, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves two sons- in-Law Greggory Thompson and Brian Redding and a daughter- in-law Stella Young Stallings and three sisters Jannie Branch, Elizabeth Beale , Anime Eason and one brother Jessie Stallings. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Ethel White Stallings, two sons Larry Stallings and James Stallings.  

Funeral services for Elder Stallings will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Refuge Church of Christ, 18 Hawkins St Waterbury CT. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the Stallings family from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
