AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
WATERBURY - Mrs. Loretta "Lollie" Vierra, age 95, passed away peacefully at VITAS Innovative Hospice Unit of St. Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was the widow of the love of her life, Louis Vierra, who predeceased her in 2001.
Lollie was born on February 23, 1917 and celebrated that day until 5 years ago when she found out she was actually born on February 24th. She was the daughter of the late Theodore J and Lauretta (Shugrue) Pelletier. She worked at the Waterbury Clock Shop and Naugatuck Rubber Company before the birth of her only child, Cyndi, and then became a devoted mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and her family enjoyed the fruits of that labor. She loved Broadway shows and partying with her family. She was always up for a good party. She is, no doubt, in the midst of a reunion party with Louie.
Lollie is survived by her only daughter, Cyndi (Napolitano) Lompert and her husband Douglas of Watertown; her grandchildren Paul Napolitano and his fiancé Katy Casey of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Dani Napolitano of Oakville, CT, Jaci Napolitano and her fiancé Aaron Lotito of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; her great-grandchildren, the loves of her life, Storm Mongkolsilapa of Oakville, CT, and Jayden Lotito of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She also leaves her dear sister, Beatrice Degnan and husband John (Bud) Degnan of Palm Desert, California, and multiple nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters Eva Fitzgerald, Alma Pelletier, Florence Neagle, Alice Luddy, and brothers Louis and Walter Pelletier.
The family would like to thank the staff and friends at Middlebury Convalescent Care for their wonderful care during the past year. Also the caregivers at Waterbury Hospital Emergency Department and Telemetry Unit, her devoted physicians, and the VITAS Innovative Care Hospice Unit at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, CT.
