THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF LORRAINE BUONOCORE
OAKVILLE - Lorraine Ann Buonocore, age 89 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 5, 2019 at The Cheshire House, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after an extended illness. She was the widow of Leo Buonocore, who passed in 2004.
Mrs. Buonocore was born in New Haven CT on September 29, 1929, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rachel (Sarro) Fabian. She was educated in local schools and was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, throughout her long life. For more than 25 years, Lorraine ran the Miss Watertown Pageant in town, enjoyed spending time outside and she was an avid reader. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville. What brought the most enjoyment to Lorraine was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as those special moments with Peyton. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Maria Iaiennaro and her husband, Michael of Waterbury, her son, Mark and his wife, Terri of Oakville and her brother, Anthony of FL. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren; Kristina Calo and her husband, Rob, Stephani Izzo and her husband, Matt, Katie Mucciacciaro and her husband, Robert, Nicole Morris, Kyle, Kristine, Alyssa and Taylor Buonocore and Shannon Chancio and her husband, Bobby, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lorraine was predeceased by her grandson, Ronald Fayer and her brother, Benjamin Fabian. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at the Cheshire House for the superb kindness, love and comfort they shared with Lorraine and her family during her illness.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Buonocore will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. from the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St to St Mary Magdalen Church 16 Buckingham St Oakville to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit with Lorraine's family on Saturday morning from 8:00 till 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
