AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME

Middlebury, CT. Louis W. Fainelli, age 90, of St Joseph Ave. Middlebury, died Tuesday evening at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of Patricia (Cornell) Fainelli.

Louis was born July 4, 1921 in Waterbury the son of the late Olympio and Theresa (DiCapua) Fainelli. He was a graduate of Middlebury Elementary School and Wilby High School and attended the University of Connecticut before enlisting in the United States Navy where he proudly served his country during World War II. Louis was employed for many years at Anaconda American Brass, Ansonia as a Electrical Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of the VFW Post 7330 in Oakville CT and the American Legion Post #195 also in Oakville. He was a dedicated family man and loved animals. Louis lived by the words, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" in his everyday actions, decisions and attitude and for that he will be greatly missed and held close in our hearts. The strength of his character will serve as guidance to his family and all those that knew him. Louis "made a difference" and that difference will never be forgotten.

Louis is survived by his three children, Louis C. Fainelli of Middlebury, Douglas W Fainelli of Lakewood Ranch FL and Meredith Goff of Truro MA. He also leaves 6 grandchildren, Deanna Fainelli-Katzenson, Maria Merrill, Douglas L. Fainelli, Nicholas R. Fainelli Liana Goff and Angelica Goff, as well as great grandchildren, Julia, Esme, Luke, Gabriella, Matteo. He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Meo, Madeline Moriarty, Frances Fassano, Frank, James and Thomas Fainelli.

Funeral services for Mr. Fainelli will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:30am at the Woodbury Methodist Church, 3 Church St Woodbury CT. Burial will follow in Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury. There are no calling hours. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury CT has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
