WATERTOWN - Mrs. Louise Solla, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 9th 2016, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a brief illness. She was the widow of Michael Solla.
Mrs. Solla was born February 8th 1925 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Anthony and Giaconda (Perugini) Marciano. She was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and dedicated her life to raising her family as a loving mother, wife and homemaker. Louise had a keen eye for fashion and enjoyed dancing and watching pop culture television. She will be remembered for her sweet and gentle soul, a person who never spoke a harsh word about anyone.
Among her survivors are her daughters, Michele Esandrio of Goshen and Joyce Stukshis and her husband, Edward of Lakeside. She also leaves her brother, Arthur Marciano and her grandchildren; David, Erin, and Michael Stukshis, Alyssa Maloney, Alexandra and Nicholas Esandrio. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Calabrese, Salvatore Marciano, Anthony Marciano, Lena Ladue, and Gloria DelGazo
Funeral services for Mrs. Solla will be held on Saturday May 14th 2016 at 10 a.m. at Saint John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main Street, Watertown. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
