THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF LUCIE VACCARELLA
WATERBURY- Lucie R. Vaccarella, age 77 of Oakville, passed away at Regal Care of Waterbury on Sunday, September 15, 2019. She was the widow of Louis Vaccarella.
Lucie was born April 2, 1942 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Camillo Sr. and Rosario (Mango) Iarrapino. When she was young, she'd often be found selling fried dough with her mother at the Echo Lake Concession. Lucie went to local schools and eventually went to Post University for Office Management courses. When she met her late husband, she decided to spend her time making a home for them. Lucie enjoyed watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins. Her favorite player was Dan Marino. Lucie's true passion was for ceramics and sculpture. She owned C&L Ceramics for 30 years and offered many classes, including children's classes. As a talented sculptor, she did work for the local church, restoring the Madonna statue. Those whom admired her work would marvel at how detailed the eyes were. Lucie will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to remember, cherish and honor Lucie's love and legacy, is her brother, Camillo Iarrapino Jr. of Oakville; her sister; and her nephew, Erik Lynn of Oakville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Sofia Charbonneau.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The funeral home kindly asks for flowers to be sent directly to the family. For additional information or to leave on-line condolences, please visit the funeral home website at
