WOLCOTT - Lucien J. Dumouchel, age 87 of Wolcott, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 at home surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Montreuil) Dumouchel.

Lucien was born January 7, 1930 in Waterbury CT, the son of the late Henry and Rhea (Hamel) Dumouchel. He attended local schools and proudly served his country with the US Army during the Korean War conflict. He worked for 36 years at Uniroyal Rubber in Naugatuck until his retirement. Lucien had an infectious smile, loved to socialize with neighbors and was quick to befriend all he met. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X church and member of the Prospect Senior Center. Lucien was a devoted family man and was happiest when spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Besides his loving wife of 63 years, Florence, Lucien is survived by his children; Raymond Dumouchel and wife Melissa of Oceanside, CA; Louis Dumouchel and wife Carol of Meriden; Donald Dumouchel of Waterbury; Lorraine Krajewski and husband Ray of Bethlehem; Linda Blanc and husband Richard of Prospect; Mary Dibrino and husband Robert of Wolcott; Nancy Polletta and husband Rocco of Prospect in addition to seventeen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his siblings, Hervey and Raymond Dumouchel, Irene Ishac, and Rhea Brook.

The Dumouchel family would like to thank and acknowledge Dr. Edmund Caporaso and his staff as well as Vitas Hospice for all the loving care and support provided to Lucien and his family during his illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Dumouchel will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Pius the X Church 517 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott, CT 06716 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Lucien's family at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.
