WATERTOWN - Mrs. Lucille M. (Strileckis) Butnor, age 79 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2016 while vacationing in New Port Richey Florida. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Butnor.
Lucille was born May 30th 1937 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late John Francis and Genevieve A. (Ives) Strileckis. She graduated from Hopeville Grammar School, and Waterbury Catholic High School. Lucille spent many years working at Uniroyal as a Customer Service Supervisor until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband as they traveled through the country in their motor home, making many new friends along the way. She was a parishioner of The Basilica of The Immaculate Conception Church.
Among her survivors are her siblings; Anthony Strileckis and his wife, Elizabeth of Lexington, MA, Joseph Strileckis and his wife, Dale of Port Charlotte, FL, Thomas Strileckis and his wife, Michelle of Waterbury, George Strileckis and his wife, Beverly of Waterbury, Maryann Strileckis of Braintree, MA. Sister Anne Marie Strileckis CND of Farmington, and Margaret Mary Strileckis of Southington as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, William, James, Vincent and John Strileckis Jr., and her sisters, Patricia Guarino and Genevieve Strileckis.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Butnor will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown Relatives and friends may visit with Lucille's family on Thursday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
