OAKVILLE- Lucille (Celantano) Heckelman, 71, devoted wife of the late Edward
Heckelman for 52 years who recently passed on August 8th, died on Monday September 13, 2021 at River Glen Health Care in Southbury.
Lucille was born in Waterbury on February 24, 1950, daughter of the late Vito and Lucy (Spratta) Celentano. She and Edward lived in Watertown since 1975.
She worked for the Watertown VNA Home Health Care as a home health aide.
Lucille enjoyed listening to her music and watching the Yankee's play. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Lucille's family would like to extend their profound gratitude to River Glen Health Care in Southbury and Waterbury Hospital for the care and love they shared with Lucille and her family during her illness.
Left to remember, cherish and honor Lucille's love and memories are, her two sons Steven Heckelman of Torrington, David and his wife Michelle Heckelman of Oakville, her sister Patricia and her husband Francis Grandpre of Middlebury. Lucille and Edward were blessed with three grandsons; David Heckelman Jr. and his wife, Amanda, Michael and Nicholas Heckelman as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Michael Celentano.
Funeral services for Mrs. Heckelman will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church 16 Buckingham St. Oakville. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Heckelman family on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 6:00pm till 8:00pm at the O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main Street Oakville CT 06779. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery
