"Enjoyed a life well lived"
WATERBURY- Lucille Parsons, 78, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on Monday September 13, 2021.
Born in Waterbury on July 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Alma (Donais) Cyr. She graduated from St. Anne Grammar School, Waterbury Catholic High School and The Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. She was the Director of Human Resources at Wesson Oil Company for many years and was their member representative to the ProfNet Networking Organization. Lucille was a very civic minded person who volunteered at the Palace Theater. She was a member of the Waterbury Exchange Club and was awarded their Exchangite of the Year. In spite of her petite size, she was tough and courageous in her long battle with cancer and was a member of the Brave at Heart Breast Cancer Organization. She genuinely enjoyed a life well lived, deservedly so and was able to travel the world. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Prospect.
Left to remember, cherish and honor Lucille's and memories are her daughters; Susan Parsons with whom she resided, Julie and her husband Marc Maru of Southington, her son, Scott Parsons of Naugatuck, her sister, Janice and her husband, Robert Perigard of Waterbury and her only grandchild, Jasmine Williams. The two of them had a special bond that fulfilled both of their lives. Lucille called Jasmine her "Ray of Sunshine". Lucille will also be deeply missed by her siter-in-law Barbara and husband John DeLuca of Hawinton, several nieces and nephews and her long-time best friend, Ginny O'Rourke.
Lucille's family would like to personally express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Joseph Sinning for the excellent care and love he shared with Lucille and her family during her illness.
