THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF LYNDA JEAN BOUCHER
OAKVILLE - Lynda Jean Boucher age 59 of Oakville CT, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Saint Raphael's Hospital in New Haven after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Boucher.
Lynda was born October 22, 1959 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine (Norris) Schilke. Lynda was raised in Naugatuck where she attended local schools and had been a long time licensed beautician. She spent many years working at the Southbury Training School Barber Shop and more recently as a Courier for the State of Connecticut. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and at the beach and enjoyed cross stitching and was always happiest while spending time with her children and family. Lynda was a member of the United Methodist Church of Watertown where she also spent several years as a Sunday school teacher. A dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend, Lynda will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her husband, Leonard of 35 years, Lynda is survived by her two daughters; Katie Boucher of Oakville, and Michelle Boucher of Bozman, Montana. In addition, she leaves her brother, William Schilke and his wife, Mary of Wells River, VT, several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet dogs; Olive, Ruthy, and Jack.
Family and friends may visit with Lynda's family on Monday, June 3rd 2019 at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St. Oakville, CT 06779 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal services will be held privately in Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
