WATERBURY - Marcelle A. Sloan, age 92, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 14th 2018 at the Cheshire House in Waterbury. She was the widow of Kenneth Sloan to whom she was married to for 43 loving years
.
Marcelle was born in Compiegne, France on December 6, 1925, the daughter of the late Albert and Alice Moinet. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, collecting dolls, spending time with her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored. She was always cheerful, happy-go-lucky and optimistic.
Marcelle's family would like to thank all those at Cheshire House for the great love, care and support they provided to Marcelle while she resided there.
Mrs. Sloan is survived by her son Michael Sloan and his wife Cathy, her two daughters, Linda Jarek and her husband, Frank of Hudson, New Hampshire, and Jean DeLeon and her husband, Robert of Waterbury. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she predeceased by her son, Ronald Shepard and her brother, Jacques Moinet.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Sloan will be held privately on Saturday September 8, 2018 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Norway Maine.
