Wolcott CT - Margaret E. Gorman, age 95, formerly of Wolf Hill Rd, died on Wednesday, January 19th at Wolcott View Manor Health and Rehab after an extended illness. She was the widow of Richard Gorman Sr.
Margaret was born June 27th 1915 in Mahoney City PA, the daughter of the late Patrick and Nellie (Wherrity) Igo. She graduated high school in PA and worked for Scovill Century Brass as a quality assurance inspector for many years before her retirement. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church and her hobbies included baking, knitting, and bingo.
The Gorman family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Wolcott View Health and Rehab especially the CNA's and nurses on North 1 and 2 as well the recreation department for the compassion and loving care they gave to Margaret during her stay.
Among her survivors are a son, Richard Gorman Jr. of Waterbury, her two grandsons Philip and Richard Gorman III both of Cromwell and her niece Carol Williams. She is predeceased by her brothers Francis, James, Joseph, Eugene and her sister Rosalia Jennemon.
Funeral services Mrs. Gorman will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 10:00 am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury to SS Peter & Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday morning from 9:00 - 10:00am. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Gorman may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
