WATERBURY - Margaret Mary (Murphy) Jannetto, age 73 of Waterbury, passed away on Saturday December 26, 2015, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at the Cheshire House, Waterbury after a brief illness. She was the widow of Anthony "Butch" Jannetto.
Margaret was born November 30, 1942 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Collins) Murphy. She was educated in local schools, a graduate of Wilby High School and was a medical transcriptionist at St. Mary's Hospital, for private physicians and other health care entities, until her retirement in 2006. Margaret enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino and spending time on the Cape. Her greatest joy however, came from time spent with her family especially her grandchildren whom she adored. She was a parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, three sons; Anthony and his wife Cheryl of Hamilton NJ, Christian and his wife, Marie of Farmington CT and Joseph of Waterbury. She also leaves three brothers; Thomas and Joseph Murphy both of Waterbury and Mark Murphy of Southbury and her adoring grandchildren, Regina, Leah, Reilly and Alexzander Jannetto as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael Murphy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jannetto will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 9:15a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St. to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Margaret's family at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4:00 ~ 7:00 pm.
