WATERBURY, CT - Margaret Lewis, age 84 of Waterbury, CT passed away Friday July 28, 2017. She passed away peacefully at Vitas Innovative Care unit of St Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Judson W. Lewis Jr.
Margaret was born November 17, 1932 in Wallingford to Charles and Margaret (Giaccone) Lewis and was the oldest of 2 children. She attended Holy Trinity high School of Wallingford and graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. After she graduated she worked at St. Mary's Hospital for many years. . Margaret was a very giving individual who loved to help others. She also loved to cook especially for her family, relatives and friends. Every holiday was a feast to remember. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Margaret is survived by her children: Judson Lewis III and his wife Sandy Of Waterbury; Charles Lewis and his wife Kathy of Wolcott and 1 grandchild Jessica Lewis of Waterbury. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Kathy Lewis. The Lewis family would like to thank and acknowledge the staff at Vistas Hospice for their loving care and support.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will follow in the family plot at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
