WATERBURY - Marie J. Candido age 88, of Waterbury, passed away at Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her family on Thursday, October 11th 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late John F. Candido Jr.
Mrs. Candido was born in Waterbury CT, on May 22, 1930, the daughter of the late Eugene and Victoria Marie (Sylvestro) Migliaro. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and received her degree as an LPN from the Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. Marie enjoyed taking trips to the casino almost as much as cleaning her house. She was an avid New York Yankees and UCONN Men's and Women's basketball fan and enjoyed playing BINGO and collecting stuffed bears. Marie was dedicated to her family and was always happiest spending time with them. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Among her survivors are her children; her daughter, Vicki Morehouse and her husband Terry of Prospect her son, Gary Candido, of Waterbury, her grandchildren; April Candido, and Jason Morehouse as well as her great grandchildren, Arriana, Marcello, Madison Marie, and Jovani in addition to several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. She was pre-deceased by her son, John "Johnny" F. Candido III.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Candido will be celebrated on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
