Devoted wife , mother, and grandmother
WATERBURY – Marie (Carnaroli) Rainville age 78 of Waterbury, died peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was the widow of Donald Rainville.
Marie was born on July 12, 1943, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Raymond Sr and Mary J (Pagliaro) Carnaroli. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and spent her career in the banking industry working as a Commercial Loan Officer at Naugatuck Valley Savings and Loan. Marie loved to travel with her husband, enjoyed family vacations, and hosting holidays for the family. She spent her life caring for others. She was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. What was most important to Marie was her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her children, Carrie Pierce and her husband Richard Jr of Waterbury, Kelly Roche and her husband Michael of Weymouth MA, and Donna Northway of Wolcott. She also leaves behind her niece Lori Grazuna of Wolcott and her beloved 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paula Evangelista, her sisters, Pauline Dimasi and Jean Karbowitz, and her brother Raymond Carnaroli.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rainville will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, SS Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. All those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Marie’s family on Monday afternoon from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street @ Southmayd Road, Waterbury.
