WATERBURY, CT Mrs. Marilyn B. Boyce age 77, formerly of Charlevoux St Waterbury, passed away peacefully at Saint Mary's Hospital after an extended illness.
Miss Boyce was born April 10th 1936 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late Alderman Harold V. and Margaret (Bartuski) Boyce. She was a graduate of Crosby High School, and Saint Mary's School of Nursing. She received her Associates Degree in criminal justice from the University of New Haven and also attended Columbia University in NYC. She spent many years working as a registered nurse at Saint Mary's Hospital and later began a second career as a policewoman for the Waterbury Police Department where she was the second policewoman in the City of Waterbury, replacing Mary Jones when she retired.
Among her survivors are her sister, Hazel Dalton and her niece Eileen Dalton, both of Waterbury. She is predeceased by her nephew, Brian Boyce Dalton.
Funeral Services for Ms. Boyce will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Ireland. Final committal services will be in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
