WOLCOTT - Marilyn P. Jackson, age 74 of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Lawrence Jackson, her devoted husband of 55 years.
Marilyn was born on September 25, 1943 in Hartford CT, the daughter of the late George and Marion Pease. She was a graduate of Canton High School and worked as a C.N.A. for 35 years, retiring from Southington Care Center. Marilyn was very involved in the Wolcott community. She was the Cub Scout Leader for Pack #230 and committee chair woman. She was also the President of the Wolcott Jaycee Women and was selected "Woman of the Year". An avid fan of all sports, motocross, dance and gymnastics; especially when her children or grandchildren were involved. She never missed an opportunity to cheer on her loved ones, no matter where or when the event. As dedicated as she was to her community, she was even more so when it came to her family. Her motto was "Family First" and she lived and instilled it in her family every single day. She was a generous and loving person and she will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Besides her husband Larry, she leaves her children; Tim Jackson and his wife Barb of Wolcott, Gail Manzolli and her husband Mark of Wolcott and Ron Jackson and his wife Cindy of Warren. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren; Andrea, Terri, Gregg, Nicole, Todd, Erica and Darren and her great grandson, Declan. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Dana Ruth and her brother Greg Pease.
Family and friends may visit with Marilyn's family on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
