OAKVILLE- Marion A. (Stewart) Filippone age 68 of Colonial St. died Monday evening at Marathon Health Care Center in Waterbury. She was the widow of Albert C. Filippone.
Marion was born January 31, 1940 in Southington, a daughter of the late Noel and Arvilla (Parmalay) Stewart and lived in Oakville most of her life. She was a graduate of Southington High School and attended Kaynor Technical School in the L.P.N. program. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was employed as a Medical Secretary. Marion was an avid cake decorator who loved crossword puzzles and crocheting but above all was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She leaves two daughters Joanne DeCato of Waterbury, Julie Cesare of Oakville, a daughter in law Debby A. Rosati of New Hartford, six grandchildren; Jessica, Travis, Lauren, Brandan, Anthony, Marco and Allysa, a great grandson Jarrett, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son David F. Rosati, a daughter Mary Elizabeth Rosati and two brothers Raymond and Edward Stewart.
Funeral Tuesday Jan 6 at 10 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
