THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF MARION MAYOR
WATERBURY - Marion G. (Smith) (Ashborn) Mayor age 96 of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Monday April 16th 2018 at Beacon Brook Health Care Center after a brief illness. She was the widow of the Alcott Ashborn and Luis Mayor.
Marion was born March 9th, 1922 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of the late George and Emma (Mordo) Smith. She was a graduate of Leavenworth High School and retired from Sperry Systems where she worked as an inspector for many years. Marion was an active volunteer at Saint Mary's Hospital and was an avid needle worker and often crocheted items for charities.
Among her survivors are her son Robert Ashborn and his wife, Cathy of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; Her daughter Rae Zabit and her husband, George of Goshen; her daughter Amy Guglielmi and her husband, Thomas of Oakville. In addition she is survived by her grandchildren Rachel Shampang, Peter Zabit, Paula Puma, Dawn Rinaldi and her great grandchildren Ashlee & Michael Puma and Jeffrey and Jacob Shampang. She is predeceased by her son Addison Ashborn.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Mayor will be held on Monday April 23rd, 2018 at 11:00am at New Pine Grove Cemetery 850 Meriden Rd. Waterbury, CT There are no calling hours.
