WATERBURY - Marion T. Orsini, age 92 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at her home on June 20, 2015 after a brief illness. She was the widow of Ralph A. Orsini.
Marion was born June 10, 1923 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Armater) Thompson. A lifelong Waterbury resident, Marion graduated Valedictorian from Sacred Heart School, Class of 1937. In 1941, she graduated from Wilby High School where she developed a keen interest in math and bookkeeping. For twenty years she used her love of numbers as a timekeeper at Scovill Manufacturing. Witty, independent and with a flair for fashion (she loved hats!), Marion was a devoted wife and caregiver to her husband and parents. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.
Among her survivors are her nieces: Jane Ellen Thompson of Webster, MA and Carol T. Womack of Toccoa, GA. She was predeceased by her brother, John F. Thompson. In accordance with Mrs. Orsini's wishes, funeral and burial services were held privately in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury.
