Marjorie L. Hunter, 95, formerly of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2013 at Abbott Terrace Health Center in Waterbury after a long illness. She was the widow of Robert Spencer Hunter.

Marjorie was born May 14,1917 in New Haven, the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Korn) Leslie. She graduated from Wilby High School, worked at the American Brass, then spent many years as a loving and dedicated homemaker, and retired from Mil-Pac Skil-Pac company in Cheshire.

Marge belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star in Cheshire, was active at the Cheshire Senior Center for many years, serving as the director of the Travel Club, and was a member of the Cheshire First Congregational Church. She enjoyed meeting with her friends in "Tuesday Circle" and working at the Strawberry Festival and Christmas Bazaar. Marge also derived great pleasure from her flower and vegetable gardens.

Among her survivors are her sons Robert S Hunter Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Southbury and Bruce Hunter and his wife Leslie of Cheshire. She leaves behind her dear brother Kenneth Leslie of Waterbury, as well as her five grandchildren, Rebecca Mulder, Cary McNally, and Spencer, Taylor, and Kyle Hunter, in addition to five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Douglas and Willis Leslie and her daughter, Susan Larson.

The Hunter family would like to thank all the staff at Abbott Terrace and Marie from the Visiting Nurse Hospice Care for their dedicated care and kindness to Marge during her time spent with them.

Services for Mrs. Hunter will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
