Cheshire - Mrs. Marjorie Ann (Fitzgerald) Landry, age 81, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at home. She was the widow of Roger L. Landry.

Marge was born in Waterbury on January 23, 1930, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary (Moriarty) Fitzgerald. She graduated from Saints Peter and Paul School, from Waterbury Catholic High, and from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. She served as a psychiatric nurse for many years at St. Mary's Hospital before retiring.

Marge was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians for many years, and enjoyed trips to Ireland. She also belonged to the Ladies' Guild at the Immaculate Conception Church. She will be remembered for her dry wit and selflessness.

Marge leaves behind three daughters: Katherine Hollywood and her husband Will; Beth Elsdon and her husband Rich; and Roseanne Krzanowski and her husband Rob; and a son, Stephen. She is survived by six grandchildren: Liz Cahill, Emily Hollywood, MD, Richard Elsdon, Jr., Meadow Landry, and Billy and Brian Krzanowski. She leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Liam and Julia, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Fitzgerald, and his wife, Camille, and by her sister-in-law, Joan Fitzgerald.

Besides her husband, Roger, Marge was predeceased by her son, David P. Landry; her sister, Patricia Kelley and her brother-in-law, Bob Kelley; and her brother, Bob Fitzgerald.

The family wishes to thank Marge's caregiver, Judith Odonkor, for her loving care of Marge during her long illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Southmayd Home, 250 Columbia Blvd., Waterbury, CT 06710; or to St. Mary Magdalen School, 140 Buckingham St., Oakville, CT 06779.

Services a Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 14, at 9:00a.m., at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 117 Southmayd Rd. in Waterbury. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with the arrangements.
