Ms. Marjorie McGinnis

WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that the family of Marjorie (Hanson) McGinnis, age 82, share the news of her peaceful passing at Autumn Lakes Healthcare at Bucks Hill on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Marjorie was born on August 8, 1942, in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Scarino) Hanson. She was a graduate of Wilby High School. and dedicated her life to raising her family and nurturing her loved ones. As a homemaker, she created a warm and inviting home filled with love and laughter. Her greatest joy came from caring for her children. An animal lover at heart, Marjorie found joy in the companionship of her pets, often cherishing the simple moments spent in their company. She also had a fondness for soap operas, finding pleasure in the stories that captivated her afternoons. Marjorie will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.

 Left to cherish her memories are her children; Scott, Kimberly (Michael), Jeffrey (Linda), and Chad (Alia). She leaves her beloved 7 grandchildren; Monica, Morgan, Ryan, Andrew, Eric, Zachary, and Clover, great grandchildren Isabella and Liam, and her sister Diane Churchill.

 Funeral services for Mrs. McGinnis will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
