Watertown - Mark Wade Orcutt Sr., entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2024, at Apple Rehab, Watertown, at the age of 73 .
Mark was born May 28,1950, in Vinalhaven Maine, the beloved son of the late Lawrence and Arlene Stuart Orcutt. Mark was the youngest of his siblings and pre deceased by his sister ; Leida Lee Noss of Beacon Falls , and brother Robert Orcutt (Karen ) of Vinalhaven Maine. He is survived by his brother James Orcutt ( Sharon) of Greenbush Maine . Mark leaves behind his 4 children ; Mark Orcutt Jr ( Kathleen) of Naugatuck, Allison Orcutt Mejía (Jorge) of Naugatuck , Lynn Orcutt DeCarvalho ( Reinaldo) of Milford , Tara Orcutt Brunetti ( Mark ) of Wolcott, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was a lifelong Shelton resident and US Marine Veteran. He volunteered his time coaching Little league , pop warner football as well as cub scouts. He worked construction by trade as well as deep sea fishing. Mark was a gifted artist and had a passion for drawing and painting sea scapes and taught art class whenever he could. He enjoyed History and was an avid reader, played the guitar, loved the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and his Parrot “Buddy”, named after his favorite beer.
A private celebration of life with his family will be planned at a later date. Casey-O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, is honored to serve the Orcutt family during this difficult time.
