WATERBURY – Marlene (Segal) Lawson, age 92, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Waterbury Center for Nursing & Rehabliation. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Lawson for 69 years.

Marlene was born on May 7, 1932 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late David and Mary (Hennessey) Segal. She was a graduate of  Wilby High School, then went on to work for many years at Timex. Marlene loved to shop, was well known for her taste in jewerly, and a huge Red Sox baseball fan. She would travel on vacations, and spent a lot of time in California with her husband. Marlene was exceptional in almost every way but she excelled the most at being a devoted wife and mother. Most of all she enjoyed every minute spent with her family. Marlene will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.

Besides her husband Joseph, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, along with great nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her infant son, David Lawson, daughter, Donna Lawson-Arakelian, and brother, Robert Segal.

Marlene’s family would like to thank Waterbury Center for Nursing & Rehabliation for their compassionate care and dedication that was given over the last days of Marlene’s life.
