WOLCOTT - Martin T. Sheehan, age 58, of Wolcott, passed away unexpectedly at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013. He was the husband of Julie (Messer) Sheehan.

Marty was born July 24th, 1954 in Waterbury, the son of Patricia (Blum) Sheehan of Southbury and the late Edward J. Sheehan. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and the Universal Technical Institute in Exton PA. He was a skilled and crafted auto body technician and worked for the Barillaro Collision Center in Meriden for many years. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a classic car enthusiast. In addition, he was an avid NASCAR Drag Racing and NY Giants fan.

Besides his wife, Julie and mother Patricia, Martin is survived by his three sons, Paul Sheehan and his wife Lisa of Cheshire; Kenneth Sheehan of Wolcott, and Matthew Sheehan of Wolcott. His brothers Richard Sheehan of Newport, RI; Patrick Sheehan of Southbury; Timothy Sheehan of Winchester MA; as well as his grandchildren Taylor and Bryce. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Sheehan.

Services for Mr. Sheehan will be held on Monday, July 15th at 10:00am from Eastside Memorial, A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to Saint Leo the Great Church 14 Bentwood Rd Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may visit with Martin's family at the funeral home on Sunday July 14th from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. In grateful appreciation for the care provided to Martin, donations may be made to Midstate Medical Center, Attn: Development Office 435 Lewis Avenue Meriden, CT 06451.
