Mary A. Perugini

WATERBURY - Mrs. Mary A. (Fusco) Perugini, age 95 of Waterbury, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Autumn Lake Health Care, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the devoted wife of the late Peter Perugini for 64 wonderful years.

Mary was born in Cheshire CT on September 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Brigida (Pastore) Fusco. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, Class of 1941 and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Mary was a devout Catholic and was well known for her many letters to the editor and opinion pieces about her commitment to pro-life and politics surrounding it. An avid reader, she was generous to many Catholic charities and a member of the "All Things New Prayer Group". She was a longtime parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is survived by her children; Louis Perugini and his wife, Marilee of Waterbury, Victor Perugini of Waterbury. Francis Perugini and his wife, Kristine of Plantsville and Nancy Magdalenski and her husband, Joseph of Bristol, her grandchildren; David, Lisa and Robert Perugini, Laura (Marc) Perugini DiDominzio, Christopher (Amanda) Magdalenski and her step grandson, Michael (Chrystal) LaPointe and 10 great grandchildren; Michelina, Michael, Anthony, Rylee, Gianna, Callie, Matthew, Margaret, Abigail, Gavin and Madison as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her siblings; Emma Dalfino of Bristol, Anna Perugini of Waterbury and Victor Fusco of Cheshire. She was predeceased by her siblings; Victoria, Daniel, Umberto and Michael Fusco and Lena Carbone.


Funeral services for Mrs. Perugini will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 10:30 am from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury to SS Peter & Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Mary's family on Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
