WATERTOWN - Mary Ann Francis (DiStiso) Dumond, age 83, of Woodbury Road died Saturday March 29, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital.
Mary Ann was born August 20, 1930 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Charles M. and Josephine (Salinardi) DiStiso and lived in Oakville for over forty years. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Mary Ann had worked as a waitress and bartender for many years at the former Appalucci's Restaurant in Waterbury and the former Sal's in Oakville. After her retirement, Mary Ann worked as a nanny and a babysitter. She enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, shopping and traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves a son Richard C. Donahue of Martha's Vineyard MA., Robin R. Quadrato and her husband Steven of Watertown, four grandchildren Matthew, Jana and Jessica Donahue and Steven Quadrato, three great-grandchildren Luke and William Donahue and Dominic Anablas. She was predeceased by two brothers Raymond C. and Phillip F. DiStiso.
Funeral Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with her family on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Ann's family would like to thank the staff at Watertown Convalarium for their loving and compassionate care for the past four years.
