Waterbury - Mrs. Mary Ann Teardo, age 98, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on February 7th 2013 at the Pardigm Health Care Center of Waterbury with her beloved son at her side. She was the widow of Angelo Teardo.
Mrs. Teardo was born August 21st 1914 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late John and Susan Bauza. She was a graduate of Saint Joseph's Grammar School in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury and spent many years working as a foot press operator at International Silver in Wallingford before her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with her family and playing bingo. She was a parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.
Among her survivors are her sons, Dr. Thomas Teardo and his wife Maria of Waterbury, John M. Teardo and his wife Rosalyn of Bristol, her daughter in-law April Teardo of Waterbury and her brother Joseph Bauza as well as fourteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Teardo will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Saints Peter and Paul Church 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury to celebrate the liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Those planning on attending are asked to meet directly at the church. Rites of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
