AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Mary (Hanley) Bartow age 80, died peacefully at Meridian Manor on May 1, 2010. She was the wife of the late Stuart Bartow Sr.
Mary was born May 19, 1929 in Danbury, a daughter of the late Alfred and Emma (Cromwell) lived in Danbury most of her life. Mae had been a member of the Connecticut Yankee Fife and Drum Corps, the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Miry Brook Volunteer Fire Company, the Ladies' Auxiliary of both the Watertown and Danbury Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Danbury American Legion.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kalosky, of Watertown; her sons Keith of New Milford, Brad of Unionville, Gerry of Danbury, and Stuart of Rupert, Vermont. Mae is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Phelan.
Funeral services will be held at the Watertown Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #5157, Saturday, May 8th, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be private and at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours. Contributions in her name may be made to the Danbury or Watertown VFW, or the St James Episcopal Church of Danbury.
