BEACON FALLS - Mary Ann (Stack) Christiano, age 81 of Beacon Falls, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May, 26, 2019 at Griffin Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Clifford Christiano.
Mary was born on November 15, 1937 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late Bartholemew and Catherine (O'Donnell) Stack. She was a graduate of St Francis Xavier Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School and proudly called herself the "Waterbury Catholic High Girl. She enjoyed being a wife, mother and homemaker her entire life. Mary loved baking and was the "go-to" person for wedding and birthday cakes of all kinds, for family and friends. She enjoyed her trips to the casino, bingo and was a longtime parishioner of St Francis Xavier Church and was a member of the Beacon Falls Senior Center. More than anything else, Mary was the glue that held her family together. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
She is survived by her five children; Kathryn Shea of Prospect, Clifford Christiano and his wife, Laurie of Seymour, Deborah Christiano of Torrington, Lori Inzitari and her husband, Frank of Beacon Falls and Steven Christiano and his wife, Suzanne of Beacon Falls, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Mrs. Christiano will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin St Waterbury at 9:30 a.m. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Mary's family on Thursday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury.
